Data Collection and Processing in the App
Our Sticker Pack Maker App does not collect or transmit personal data to us or third parties by default. All data and files processed in the app remain on the user's device by default and are not automatically shared with us or third parties. The created sticker packs are stored exclusively locally on your device.
Important Notice Regarding Photo and Video Content:
The photos and videos you use in the app may contain personal data, especially if people are depicted on them or other identifiable information (such as location data in EXIF metadata) is contained. This content is processed exclusively locally on your device and is never automatically transmitted to us or external servers.
Manual Data Transfer via WhatsApp Export:
If you choose to manually export created sticker packs to WhatsApp, the data contained in the stickers (including any personal data that may be present) will be transmitted to WhatsApp. This only happens upon your express and conscious decision by activating the corresponding export function.
User Responsibility
You are responsible for:
- Which images and videos you use in the app
- Compliance with third-party personality rights when creating and exporting stickers
- Observance of copyright provisions
- Responsible handling of personal data in your media content
- The decision whether and which sticker packs you export to WhatsApp
Permissions
The Sticker Pack Maker App may request the following permissions. All permissions are only granted after your explicit consent. The actual permissions requested may vary depending on the Android version and app version:
- Access to Images (READ_MEDIA_IMAGES): This permission is used to load images from your device that you want to use as a basis for your stickers. The permission is only granted after your confirmation.
- Access to Videos (READ_MEDIA_VIDEO): This permission allows videos to be loaded from your device to create stickers from them. The permission is only granted after your confirmation.
- Read External Storage (READ_EXTERNAL_STORAGE, only up to Android 12): Required for older Android versions to access your media collection. This permission is only requested on older Android versions and only granted after your confirmation.
- Read Selected Media (READ_MEDIA_VISUAL_USER_SELECTED): This permission allows the app to access only the images and videos you explicitly select. This permission is only available on newer Android versions.
- Internet Connection (INTERNET): This permission is used exclusively for the optional loading of YouTube videos (see section "YouTube Integration"). The permission is automatically granted as it is needed for basic app functionality.
Important Note: Depending on your Android version and the installed app version, different permissions may be requested. Modern Android versions offer more granular control over media permissions, while older versions require more comprehensive storage permissions. You have control over these permissions at all times and can manage or revoke them in the Android system settings.
Processing of Personal Data in Media Content
The photos and videos you use may contain the following personal data:
- Images of Persons: Faces and other biometric features
- Location Information: GPS coordinates in EXIF data
- Timestamps: Recording date and time
- Additional Metadata: Camera model, settings, etc.
Legal Basis for Local Processing:
The processing of this data takes place exclusively on your device based on your express consent through the selection of the corresponding files (Art. 6 para. 1 lit. a GDPR). You can revoke this consent at any time by removing the corresponding files from the app or uninstalling the app.
YouTube Integration
Our app offers the possibility to integrate YouTube videos. This function is only activated if you explicitly give your consent. Before loading YouTube content, you will be asked for your consent.
When using the YouTube integration, the privacy policies of YouTube/Google also apply. You can find these at: https://policies.google.com/privacy
You can revoke your consent at any time by deactivating the corresponding function in the app settings.
WhatsApp Integration and Data Transfer
The created sticker packs can be voluntarily and manually shared with WhatsApp by you. This happens exclusively upon your express request by consciously activating the corresponding export button in the app. The app does not share any data automatically or without your explicit consent with WhatsApp.
Important Notice Regarding Data Transfer:
When you manually export sticker packs to WhatsApp, the data contained in the stickers (including all potentially present personal data such as images of persons, metadata, etc.) is transmitted to WhatsApp or Meta. This transfer only occurs through your conscious and express action.
When you share sticker packs with WhatsApp, WhatsApp's privacy policies apply. You can find these at: https://www.whatsapp.com/legal/privacy-policy
Before exporting, ensure that you have the necessary rights to use and share the content contained in the stickers.
